"Thank you.  Overactive mucosal secretions are a component of most asthma exacerbations.  Ipratropium targets this.  And reduces hyperreactivity of bronchial tissues to irritant stimulations.    Logic leads me to prescribe SAMA as a uniquely beneficial medication in the setting of acute asthmatic exacerbations.    Your teaching that there is no role is narrow.  Studies have not addressed specific signs or symptoms of day by day benefit.    Perhaps underutilization of SAMA And LAMA are a principal reason for the escalating public health problem and burden.  And a reason why mortality and intubation are rising.    Hmm ??"
