A meta-analysis finds that excessive or insufficient weight gain during gestation is linked to a maximum of 18% increased risk for these three neurodevelopmental outcomes in offspring: autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and/or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
