Daniel Neides, MD, director of the Cleveland Clinic’s Wellness Institute in Ohio, wrote a column on a local news website espousing some of the main arguments of antivaccination advocates about the safety of additives in vaccines.
His column was immediately criticized by physicians around the globe, and the Cleveland Clinic was prompted to step in and disavow his statements.
Dr. Neides has since apologized in a statement released by the Cleveland Clinic, saying he fully supports vaccinations.
