In response to widespread criticism that implementation of MACRA and MIPS will deliver a crushing blow to small-practice physicians, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Acting Administrator Andy Slavitt sought to reassure physicians in remarks delivered at the annual meeting of the American Medical Association.
