Delayed cord clamping is beneficial in very preterm infants

Extremely preterm infants (born at less than 27 weeks of gestational age) in whom delayed cord clamping was carried out at birth had significantly less chances of dying or having neurodevelopmental impairment at two years of age, compared with those who received immediate cord clamping.
