House Republicans and President-elect Donald Trump seem to have settled on a plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in January, with the intention of later replacing it with new legislation. However, according to Robert Doherty, senior vice president for governmental affairs and public policy for the American College of Physicians, this "repeal and replace" plan ignores the complexities of the health care system and will disproportionately affect working class Americans.
