Key finding

Tuberculosis infection (TBI) appears to significantly increase the risk for stillbirth, low birthweight, severe preeclampsia, and emergency caesarean delivery in pregnant female immigrants. The study was conducted by Swedish researchers and appeared online in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases .
